Judy's TenKey™ Updated for Windows 8
World-leading calculator, previous winner of Ziff Davis Desktop Accessory of the Year, updated for Microsoft Windows 8
SAN JOSE, CA — Judy's Applications has released a major upgrade to Judy's TenKey™, a top-of-the-line Windows calculator used by millions of consumers, professional accountants, and financial institution employees. In addition to its long-standing "auto-magic" recalculation capabilities, the new version adds support for Windows 8, new optional sounds schemes, connection to dedicated calculator keys, more intelligent copy & paste, improved system administration, and more.
Judy's TenKey has won numerous awards over the years, including Ziff Davis Desktop Accessory of the Year, a 5-star rating from C/NET, Accounting Today's top 10 new products of the year, and so on. Although it's packed with powerful features, Judy's TenKey works hard to make a user's experience simple and effortless. For example, by default it automatically sets Numlock whenever you are using the calculator, and restores it to the previous state the moment you start using another application. When you press the calculator key on your keyboard, it brings up your current calculations, then hides them when press the key again. These types of little conveniences are almost invisible, but a real joy to use. Of course, a more significant selling point is that Judy's TenKey supports the users preferred input approach, whether standard calculator, RPN, or adding machine-style tenkey(a favorite of accounting professionals) syntax.
In addition to Windows 8 improvements, the new version features an improved "intelligent copy & paste". Judy's TenKey can strip the numbers out of a text document and add them up or perform other calculations on them, which can save a lot of retyping at times, and is something that even complex spreadsheets such as Excel can't do. Judy's TenKey now also supports copying numbers surrounded by parentheses as negative, as well as more esoteric processing. Other new features include a delta percent calculations, optional sounds for operators, and more. Many companies buy Judy's TenKey for large groups of employees (sometimes 10,000 or more), so the new version also includes additional system administration capabilities.
"Even though Microsoft continues to improve the default calculator that ships with Windows, the fact is that they just can't touch our ease of use, and our features like 'automatic smart recalculation' or multi-level undo," says Judy, President of Judy's Applications. "I know it seems almost silly to get so excited about 'just' a calculator, but the fact is that almost everyone uses one, and Judy's TenKey clearly makes those calculations easier, faster, and even fun! You really have to try it to understand why our customers are so devoted."
